“You’re si-yee (silly), Mommy”

July 20, 2011

Eliza, our two-year old daughter, uses the title phrase to describe me several times a day. I often have no idea what I am doing that she finds so silly, but it still tickles me to death every time she tells me I’m being “si-yee.”

I definitely feel silly right now, as I sit writing this first blog post. Mainly because I have done such a terrible job of keeping up with the other blog I contribute to and therefore have no idea why I think that I will keep up with this one. And yet, the journey our family began at the beginning of this year has been begging to be chronicled. It is an adventure that will be part of our family history forever, and I don’t want to forget it.

So, here we will post updates about our family in general and about our adoption specifically. We will let you know how you can be praying, how you can help and in what ways you can come alongside us on this journey. We are thankful to have you here.
